My Role as Your Doula
Imagine heading into day you give birth feeling positive, calm and strong.
Evidence shows every time that continuity of care makes a positive difference to labour and birth outcomes, but it just doesn't happen within our maternity system. I'm completely independent, working for you, and I give you that continuity of care during your pregnancy, birth, and beyond that as you begin life with your new baby.
Through our sessions together you will become armed with the knowledge, advocacy skills and confidence you need so you make informed decisions that are right for you and your baby. I work with you and your birth partner so that they also feel prepared, involved and know the best way to support you as a team.
I don't tell you what to do but I walk alongside you, listening, free from judgment, as you gather the information you need to make choices that are right for you. We want those choices to reflect your hopes and dreams, not your fears. You are the authority here, and you get to be the author of your own birth story. I'll be with you every step of the way as you write it.
